Doha: In the final of the World Snooker Championship, Pakistan's Ahsan Ramzan defeated his Iranian rival Amir Sukosh to become the youngest world champion.

According to Express News, in the final of the World Snooker Championship held in Doha, the capital of the Gulf country of Qatar, Ahsan Ramzan won the world title by defeating Iranian cueist Amir Sukosh in the last frame.

According to the report, the competition between the two players for 10 frames was equal to five. Ahsan Ramzan won by 6 frames against five.

Sixteen-year-old Ahsan Ramzan also set a world record of 147 breaks in the World Snooker Championship. The 147 break scorers also became Pakistan's first and the youngest quest in the world.

Ahsan defeated compatriot defending champion Asif Toba in the semi-finals of the World Cup.
