Difficult decisions will have to be made to manage the economy, says Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

Karachi: Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi says that nowhere in the world is petrol getting less than the purchase price, difficult decisions will have to be taken to manage the economy.

Talking to media after appearing in the accountability court in Karachi, former prime minister and PML-N central leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the devastation of 4 years could not be improved in days. Imposed on and wreaked havoc in all spheres.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that if NAB remained then the country could not function so the solution was to end NAB but not to end opposition cases. Install cameras in the courts to see what the NAB is doing. Let there be cases against politicians, so as not to give the impression that we abolished NAB for our cases.

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Imran Khan's government would benefit the most from the abolition of NAB. We have not accused anyone, we have not slandered anyone, we have stated the facts. He said that whoever returned to the country would have to answer.

He said that the Election Commission has asked for holding elections in 7 months and the country of caretaker government could not afford for 7 months. Ishaq Dar's decision to return home is his own, he will return whenever he wants.

Earlier, the accountability court heard a reference against former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others for illegal recruitment in the PSO. Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others appeared while former MD PSO Sheikh Imranul Haq's lawyer did not appear.

The junior lawyer said that Barrister Omar Soomro had made the Umrah payment and could not appear. The court adjourned the hearing till May 16.
